Rye aims to revolutionize the eCommerce landscape by providing a seamless experience for shoppers, efficient tools for merchants, and unlimited access to product inventory for developers. With a focus on programmatic checkout and access to extensive Shopify and Amazon product data, Rye's API promises to streamline the eCommerce experience. Backed by $14 million in seed funding, Rye plans to expand its offerings, including a unified checkout experience and direct merchant connections.
Rye utilized numerous unique data sets which would need to be recreated in their CRM. Not least of these were views and access based around the Role of individuals within their organization. Furthermore, they leveraged the HighTouch Application to capture data from Snowflake and required, as part of their implementation, a way to plug this data into Salesforce. Another aspect that required special considerations was the process that Rye had established between Business Development and Account Management that utilized separate custom object classifications. Lastly, internal communication was a major focus of this implementation as Rye required integration with existing communication avenues to collaborate more effectively, receive real-time updates, and streamline communication as well as the creation of new broadcast channels designed to improve communication efforts.
Caddie approached the Rye implementation with a focus on efficiency. The project required efficiency not just in the end-result but during the implementation itself to minimize potential impact to users and clients in a production environment. Tight deadlines and fast turnaround in an agile and developing ecosystem of requests were standard throughout the project’s duration. Caddie was able to tackle this challenge through close collaboration and open lines of communication with Rye, resulting in a very successful final product.
“We were aware from the outset that we needed consulting partners who understood our business and the challenges that we face daily. Caddie stepped up time and time again to learn our processes and put that knowledge into action during a difficult migration. In both diligence and delivery we could not have asked for better partners.”
- Arjun Bhargava, CEO
To ensure that Caddie met all of Rye’s asks, a comprehensive and methodical approach was needed and began with a rapid deployment to Salesforce without any disruption to existing operations. This not only allowed Rye to swiftly onboard its teams, but also gave them immediate benefits in the form of Flow Builder’s customized automation solutions, seamless integration with Slack using the Broadcast Channel integration feature, and targeted communication channels for different departments using Custom Broadcast Channels.
“Caddie was exceptional in their service. Projects turned around quickly, and always ahead of mutually agreed schedules. Everything you can ask for in consultants: brilliant, responsive, and trustworthy. I can not recommend them enough.”
- Tam Vu, Head of Business Development
In addition to Salesforce enhancements, our team advised Rye on leveraging the HighTouch Application to capture data metrics from Snowflake directly into Salesforce, providing Rye with comprehensive insights and analytics and enabling data-driven decision-making that enhanced the effectiveness of sales and marketing efforts. Also in Salesforce, Caddie was able to develop a customized Call and Activity Counter which recognizing Rye’s diverse user roles, we configured role-based Record Types within Salesforce for select teams, ensuring that each had access to relevant data and functionalities tailored to their specific responsibilities.
